Milling,

Milling: Grinding off the top of an old asphalt surface with a rotary machine, either to correct grades or to make room for an overlay at existing heights.
Why it matters on your job: Around garage slabs, gutters and door thresholds, milling is what lets an overlay land flush instead of creating a trip step.
