Who we are

California Asphalt Professionals (“CAP,” “we,” “us”) is a family-operated paving and concrete contractor at 2350 W Floradora Ave, Fresno, CA 93728, CSLB license C-32 #760658, operating since 1990. This policy explains what information this website collects, why, who touches it, and the choices you have. It is written to be read, not just posted.

What we collect

Information you give us. When you request an estimate through a form or the chat assistant, we collect what you type: typically your name, phone number, email address, the city or neighborhood of the job, and a description of the work. That’s the point of the form, and we don’t ask for more than the estimate needs.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our pages use cookies and similar technologies that record technical data: pages visited, approximate location from your IP address, device and browser type, and how you arrived here (for example, from a Google search or ad). See the Analytics and Cookies sections below for exactly which tools do this.

What we do NOT collect. We do not ask for payment card numbers, Social Security numbers, or government IDs through this website. Payment details are handled off-line as part of the actual job paperwork. Please don’t type sensitive personal information into the chat or the forms — a job description never needs it.

How we use it

We use contact and job information to do exactly what you asked: schedule the site walk, prepare a written estimate, and follow up on that estimate. We use the automatic technical data to understand how the website performs, which pages are useful, and whether our advertising is worth what it costs. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not rent our lead list to anyone.

The CAP Assistant (AI chat)

The chat widget on this site — the CAP Assistant — is an automated AI assistant, not a live person. Two things you should know before using it:

Processing. Chat messages are processed by a third-party AI provider (Anthropic) to generate replies, and conversations may be emailed to our office so a real person can follow up on estimate requests. Treat the chat like a contact form: helpful for job details, wrong for anything sensitive.

Accuracy. The assistant is briefed on our real services and coverage, but it is software. Anything that matters — pricing, scheduling commitments, scope — is only final when a human from our shop confirms it, normally in your written estimate.

Analytics & advertising tools

This site uses Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics 4 and Google Ads conversion measurement. These set cookies and collect usage data so we can see (in aggregate) how visitors use the site and whether our ads produce estimate requests. Google’s handling of this data is described in Google’s Privacy Policy, and you can opt out of Analytics with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Our forms are protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, an anti-spam check that evaluates technical signals from your browser instead of making you decode blurry text. Cloudflare’s privacy practices are described in Cloudflare’s Privacy Policy.

Cookies & your controls

Cookies on this site fall into two buckets: necessary (spam protection, remembering your cookie choice and accessibility settings) and analytics/advertising (the Google tools above). You can decline non-essential cookies in our cookie notice, clear or block cookies in your browser settings, and use the accessibility widget’s and chat widget’s hide controls without any tracking consequence — those preferences are stored locally on your device, not on our servers.

Who we share with

We share personal information only with the service providers that make the website work: our web and email infrastructure (site hosting and lead-notification email, managed by our website provider YelloPost), Google (analytics/advertising, as described above), Cloudflare (security), and Anthropic (chat processing). Each receives only what its function requires. We do not sell personal information, we have not sold it in the preceding 12 months, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising beyond the Google measurement described above. We would disclose information if a court or law required it — that’s true of every business.

Your California privacy rights

California’s privacy laws (CCPA/CPRA) grant consumers rights over personal information held by covered businesses. Whether or not a small family contractor meets the statute’s size thresholds in a given year, we honor these requests as policy:

Know & access — ask what information we hold about you and receive a copy. Correct — have inaccurate information fixed. Delete — have your information removed from our records, except what we must keep for completed contracts, warranties, taxes, or legal obligations. Non-discrimination — exercising these rights never affects the price or quality of the work.

To make a request, call (559) 442-4105 or use the contact form and say it’s a privacy request. We’ll verify you’re the person the information belongs to (usually by matching the phone or email on file) and respond within 45 days. We also respect Global Privacy Control signals where our tools support them.

How long we keep things

Estimate requests that don’t become jobs are kept long enough to follow up and then age out of our working records. Information tied to actual jobs lives as long as contract, warranty and tax obligations require — typically several years under California law. Analytics data is retained per Google’s standard rolling windows.

Children

This website sells paving services and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect children’s personal information; if you believe a child has submitted information to us, call and we’ll delete it.

Changes to this policy

When we change this policy we change the date at the top. Material changes get a plain-language note here rather than silent edits. Questions are welcome by phone — a person answers at (559) 442-4105, Mon–Fri 8am–5pm.

Phone Calls

Some of the phone numbers shown on this website, and numbers shown in our online advertising, are tracked so we can measure which ads and pages lead to phone calls. Call tracking tells us the date, time, and duration of a call, the number you called from, and the general geographic area it came from. We use this only to understand which of our advertising works.

Calls placed to a tracked or advertised number may be recorded or monitored for quality assurance and training purposes, including by the advertising platforms that provide those numbers. Where a call is recorded, you will be notified at the beginning of the call. If you would prefer not to be recorded, you may say so at that point and we will continue without recording, or you may end the call and contact us by email or through the contact form on this site instead.

We do not sell call recordings or call tracking data, and we do not use them for any purpose other than responding to your enquiry, quality assurance, and measuring our advertising.
