California Asphalt Professionals has been paving driveways, parking lots, and private roads across Fresno County and the Central Valley since 1990. This is the shop behind the work.
The shop
A family business,
built one job at a time.
We opened in Fresno in 1990 as a small asphalt-paving outfit. The work was residential at first — driveways, walkways, the occasional rural road. Word travelled, the jobs got bigger, and over the next three decades the shop grew into a full-service paving and concrete contractor with a territory that runs from Salinas to Shaver Lake.
The Central Valley is a demanding climate for asphalt. Triple-digit summers, expansive clay and adobe soils, and ground that swells and shrinks with irrigation cycles. Pavement here doesn’t get treated the way it does on the coast. We’ve learned the conditions one job at a time, and that’s the experience that ends up in every estimate we write.
More than a contractor
We became a supplier.
Somewhere along the way we got tired of waiting on sealant deliveries to ourselves. We brought in Crafco directly — the same hot-applied crack sealants, mastics, and surface patches used on FAA-spec airfield jobs — and stocked the warehouse. We do the same with Ultraseal, DEERY, Flex-A-Fill, and Poreshield: in stock, ready when you need it.
That’s why we’re also a Crafco distributor, and why our Crafco SS125 hot-jacketed melter rents out to other Central Valley contractors when we’re not on a job that needs it. Most paving companies stop at the curb. We didn’t see the point.
