Most people hire paving twice in a lifetime, so nobody knows what 'normal' looks like. This is the whole arc — call, estimate, job day, cure — with the honest durations.

Call to estimate (days)
You call or send the form; we schedule a site walk — typically within a few days in the Fresno core, on the next grouped run farther out. The walk takes 20–40 minutes: measurements, soft-spot checks, drainage read, your questions. The written flat-rate quote follows, usually same or next day, with the section spec on it so you can compare bids honestly.
Approval to job day (days to weeks)
Residential work commonly starts the same week you approve in season; commercial and HOA work schedules around your operations and our route density. Weather moves paving — hot mix wants dry surfaces and reasonable temperatures — so a rain week shuffles everyone honestly rather than paving badly on schedule.
Job day (mostly one)
A typical driveway: demo/prep morning (sawcut edges, remove failed material, fine-grade and compact base), paving early afternoon (hot mix arrives, machine-laid or hand-placed, rolled in passes with edges done by hand), cleanup by end of day. Parking lots run in phased sections across days so the business keeps operating. You'll know the plan before anyone starts an engine.
Cure and the first year
Stay off new asphalt 24–72 hours (heat-dependent — longer is kinder in Fresno summers). It's drive-ready then, but asphalt cures for months: avoid dry-steering in place, park trailers on boards the first summer, and expect the deep black to mellow slightly. First sealcoat lands at 6–12 months, and from there you're on the maintenance calendar that decides everything.
